Uraseal Butt Splice Cases are
designed to be used indoors on telecommunications house
cable, or outside for fast economical protection. These
closures are constructed of a tough, rigid inner liner.
The tough inner liner will give your splice “mechanical
protection.” A softer outer layer is then added to give
the Butt Splice Closure an outer shell that extends
beyond the base of the liner to create a water tight
seal. When the stainless steel clamp is tightened, the
soft outer layer shell will then conform to either the
tape wrapping, or the grommet, and seal the splice. The
Butt Splice Case can also be made available with a
custom grommet insert for either indoor fire retardant
our outdoor applications.
