DESCRIPTION
The SAP II Pedestal Closure Kit has a sealed design that keeps out water, insects, rodents, while protecting the splice and conductor insulation from other environmental elements. The design of SAP II also allows for easy installation in either new or retrofit pedestals, as well as for hand hole applications. It is re-entrable for a subsequent splice, additions or changes. URASEAL utilized its 3 decades of experience to develop a pedestal closure kit which is the most cost effective and easiest-to-use kit on the market.

NOTE: Special grommet cable configurations and closure cover lengths are available. 2”, 7”, & 9” SAPII are available as “special order systems.” Please contact URASEAL Technical Service to discuss engineering possibilities.

Installation
  • Prepare splice bundle according to local practice.
  • Install grommet on cables
  • Install desiccant bag and foil bag.
  • Slide closure over splice bundle and secure with a clamp to the grommet.
